RESSO

Endless new music for the endlessly curious.

As a platform, Resso has the dual task of expressing itself as a brand as well as expressing itself in direct connection with artists on the platform. Resso is a new way to experience music built around connectivity. Deepening communities ability to interact with music — and each other — through technology to bring the world a bit closer together.

Concept:

Every artist has their community of die-hard fans. A collage of people from around the world who are connected to each other and the artist’s work in different ways.

It’s a symbiotic relationship. Energy flows back and forth. Inspiration is exchanged. Each effected and expressed in unique ways by the fans according to their own individuality.

This direction is an ode to fans and music communities. It captures their passion, energy and love of music. Inspired by collage making, album covers and niche music references we’re distilling the expressive spirit of fans to create a world that feels vibrant, layered, optimistic, tactile and human.

Color:

The core representation of Resso is clear, bold and distinctive. The system accounts for brand first initiatives, with the ability to flex to artist led initiatives.

Building from black, white and/or Resso red is the foundational approach that creates the strongest connection to the brand.

The eye drop method is meant to support artist led imagery by using either the a neutral or highlight tone found within the imagery itself. This allows us to seamless integrate a host of imagery while still maintaining brand consistency.

Type:

Our main typeface is Acid Grotesk. Originally designed by Folch Studio for Acid house Barcelona, this typeface strikes a delicate balance between expression and form. Named after the transgressive music genre, this typeface embodies the fluid, energetic and hybrid nature of music — perfectly suited for both digital and physical applications.

System:

The construction of the system is defined but flexible. Changing relationships between shapes, colors, imagery and layout create a near-infinite number of possibilities while remaining distinctly Resso.
